For many products, the sale is not finished when the goods are delivered — it is finished when the product works. Air conditioners, water purifiers, inverters, kitchen equipment, machinery, solar systems: the customer is waiting for the installation, and every day of delay is a day they judge the brand.
Where installations go wrong
- No one schedules them until the customer calls to complain.
- Technicians are double-booked, or sent to the wrong address.
- The product arrives after the technician, or the technician before the product.
- The unit is not registered, so warranty and service later start from nothing.
A clean installation flow
- At order: capture the installation address and preferences.
- At dispatch: book a provisional slot after the expected delivery.
- Day before: confirm with the customer.
- On site: technician installs, records the serial number, and the customer signs off.
- After: the unit is registered to the customer with its cover — see warranty and serial tracking.
Measure what customers feel
| Measure | Why |
|---|---|
| Days from delivery to installation | The customer's waiting time |
| First-visit completion | Installations done in one visit |
| Rescheduled appointments | Planning or communication problems |
| Units installed and registered | Base for warranty, AMC and service |
How Zaqnet schedules installations
- Appointments in the Service app in ControlRoom are shown on a calendar, with the address asked for when the service is on site.
- Technicians are not double-booked — a new appointment is checked against the technician's existing visits.
- Booking from a case or customer fills in the customer automatically.
- Units sold with serial numbers are registered to the customer, ready for AMC and service.
- Technicians work the job in GroundLink.
The product is sold at the counter. The customer is won at the installation.
