Example: one customer, one working day

Follow a request from the field to the office and through the day-end review.

Guide reviewed 14 September 2026 · Controls depend on your app version and access.

Before you begin

Use an authorised practice case. Each save in a live workspace may create real business records.

  1. 01Start with the field user

In GroundLink, confirm the company and Kick Off the duty session. Review any required location notice and permissions separately.

  2. 02Record the customer request

Create the order for the correct customer and products. Confirm the saved identifier and give that identifier to the office.

  3. 03Review it at the desk

In ControlRoom Orders, use the three panes to find and review the request. Resolve required stock or allocation decisions before using the supported next action.

  4. 04Record the collection accurately

If payment is received, enter it through the supported payment flow. Check the amount, method, customer and status. A sale or order is not a substitute for the collection record.

  5. 05Reconcile the handover

File duty closure when appropriate. Check stock-return completion and review the day in Closure. Investigate discrepancies in the original records before exporting a report.

Check the result

The office and field team refer to the same record identifiers, and each outstanding task has an owner.

If something does not look right

If one step fails, do not repeat the whole day’s workflow. Find the last confirmed record and resolve the specific failure.
