Review markdowns and promotions
Understand the difference between eligibility, application and value distributed.

Before you begin
Promotion availability and management actions depend on the workspace. Check the selected promotion type before interpreting its figures.
01Select the promotion
Open Markdowns and read the promotion’s description and conditions. Confirm whether it concerns a discount, free item or tracked item.
02Read eligibility separately
Eligible carts or transactions indicate possible application, not that the benefit was actually used.
03Review application and value
Compare applications, utilisation and value distributed. For tracked items, also inspect returned or outstanding quantities where shown.
04Check operational impact
Use Inventory to investigate an outstanding tracked item. Review the related transaction before assuming a promotion was incorrectly applied.
Check the result
You can explain which transactions qualified, which used the promotion and what value or items were distributed.
If something does not look right
A budget or utilisation figure is not a bank balance. Check the promotion’s own definition and time period when comparing results.
