Permissions, privacy and X-Ray boundaries

Use device and workspace capabilities within their stated purpose.

Guide reviewed 14 September 2026 · Controls depend on your app version and access.

Before you begin

Know who administers your organisation and how to contact support about a privacy concern.

  1. 01Separate permission from purpose

Location and microphone permissions allow a device capability. They do not by themselves establish a lawful or agreed reason to use it.

  2. 02Use the available controls

Review device settings for location and microphone permissions. Use duty and calling controls to end work sessions and calls, and ask the organisation to resolve consent or retention questions.

  3. 03Treat X-Ray as a restricted capability

The plan catalogue restricts X-Ray to consent-only use on enterprise-owned devices. No verified end-user implementation was found for this journal, so it provides no invented screen-capture or remote-control tutorial.

  4. 04Review external sharing

Check reports, exports, notifications and webhook destinations before sending personal or business information outside the intended audience.
