Receive goods against a purchase
Record the quantities that arrived and the location that received them.

Before you begin
Open the correct purchase order and have the supplier’s delivery note or receipt number. Do not use receipt entry to represent an expected delivery.
01Choose Receive goods
Open the purchase order’s receipt action. The form shows lines with remaining quantities.
02Confirm the receiving location
Choose the actual destination and enter the receipt reference. If a line needs an inventory item association, resolve it using the picker.
03Enter what arrived now
Check each Receiving now quantity. For a partial delivery, enter only the quantity received in this event. Do not blindly accept the entire remaining quantity.
04Save and review history
Choose Save receipt and inspect the order again. The form rechecks current order details before saving, so a changed remaining quantity can require correction.
Check the result
The receipt is visible in history and the remaining quantity makes sense for each line.
If something does not look right
If another user received goods meanwhile, refresh the order and reconcile the physical delivery. Do not create a second receipt solely to clear an error.
