Use Audits and report exports

Answer a defined business question with the right report and filters.

Guide reviewed 14 September 2026 · Controls depend on your app version and access.

Before you begin

Report access is controlled. Decide the question, date range and location before exporting data.

  1. 01Choose the report

Open Audits or the relevant report view and read what the selected report describes. Reports can have different classes and available filters.

  2. 02Set the scope

Use the available location, result and date controls. Check the selected page size and whether you are viewing one page or a complete result.

  3. 03Read the figures in context

Compare counts, totals and statuses with the underlying app when needed. A different filter or period can produce a different total without either view being wrong.

  4. 04Export and inspect

Use the supported export format. Open the output, check headings and period, and confirm that it contains only information the recipient should receive.

Check the result

The report answers the intended question and its scope is stated when you share it.

If something does not look right

If an export fails, retain the report name, filters and error identifier. An Export Report workflow and a Send Report notification are not automatically the same as delivering a persistent file attachment.
