Draft, approve and follow a stock transfer

Keep the intended movement separate from the physical and recorded handover.

Guide reviewed 14 September 2026 · Controls depend on your app version and access.

Before you begin

Identify source, destination, items, units and quantities. Some workflows use batches and separate approval or receiving steps.

  1. 01Prepare the draft

Open Transfer Draft and enter the intended source and destination. Choose the supported transfer type and batch information where required.

  2. 02Check quantities and ownership

Confirm the items exist at the source and the destination is the intended operational location. Cross-company or restricted destinations require the applicable authority.

  3. 03Follow the available stages

Use the permitted approval, execution and receipt actions in the order shown by the record. A draft or approval alone does not prove the goods moved.

  4. 04Review both sides

After the relevant movement and receipt steps, inspect the transfer state and location balances. Keep delivery or receipt evidence attached where supported.

Check the result

The transfer state agrees with what physically happened and the correct locations were affected.

If something does not look right

If execution or receipt fails after a timeout, reopen the transfer before attempting the action again. Report the transfer identifier and the last confirmed stage.
