Manage users and working access

Give people the access their role needs and review it when their responsibilities change.

Guide reviewed 14 September 2026 · Controls depend on your app version and access.

Before you begin

User and policy management require administrative permissions. Plan access and user scopes must both support a feature.

  1. 01Find the person

Open Users or the relevant workforce view. Confirm identity and organisation membership before making changes.

  2. 02Review role and assignment

Check the person’s role, operational assignments and current status. Use least-necessary access for viewing, changing, exporting or managing records.

  3. 03Review field-work prerequisites

For a field user, verify duty, location assignment and tracking configuration where used. Location permission remains a separate device and consent decision.

  4. 04Update and verify

Save supported changes and check the resulting record. Have the user refresh their session where needed to pick up access changes.

Check the result

The intended person has the right organisation membership and no unnecessary operational permissions.

If something does not look right

A tracking permission is not consent to monitoring. A role change also does not correct a missing inventory assignment or unsupported plan feature.
